Currently Perma-Bound only has suggested titles for grades K-8 in the Science and Social Studies areas. We are working on expanding this.

MN.3501.0625.1. The student will understand and use artistic processes to create, perform, and interpret art works in at least two of the three arts areas required to be offered by a school from the following: dance, music, theater, and visual arts.

1.A.1. Dance: The student will understand the following components of dance elements, including action, space, time and energy; principles of choreography, such as repetition, pattern, or unity; and vocabulary.

1.A.2. Dance: The student will understand cultural and historical forms or traditions of dance.

1.A.3. Dance: The student will understand how dance elements are similar to and different from the elements of other arts areas, such as music, theater, or visual arts.

1.A.4. Dance: The student will perform characteristic movements and styles of dance from more than one form or tradition.

1.A.5. Dance: The student will create movement sequences with or without music; and generate multiple responses to movement ideas.

1.B.1. Music: The student will understand the following components of music: elements, including melody, rhythm, harmony, dynamics, tone color, texture, and form; and vocabulary.

1.B.2. Music: The student will understand cultural and historical forms or traditions of music.

1.B.3. Music: The student will understand how musical elements are similar to and different from the elements of other arts areas, such as dance, theater, or visual arts.

1.B.4. Music: The student will sing or play traditional instruments alone and sing rounds and part songs or play traditional instruments in a group.

1.B.5. Music: The student will improvise and compose rhythms, melodies, and accompaniments using classroom instruments, voice, or both to express a specific musical idea.

1.B.6. Music: The student will perform rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic patterns on classroom instruments.

1.B.7. Music: The student will read and write music using a system of musical notation.

1.C.1. Theater: The student will understand the following components of theater: elements, including plot, theme, character, language, sound, and spectacle; forms, such as tragedy, comedy, farce, or melodrama; and vocabulary.

1.C.2. Theater: The student will understand cultural and historical forms or traditions of theater.

1.C.3. Theater: The student will understand how theater elements are similar to and different from the elements of other arts areas, such as dance, music, or visual arts.

1.C.4. Theater: The student will create a character based on fiction or life experience using movement, voice, costume, and props.

1.C.5. Theater: The student will create a dramatic performance by interpreting and adapting the plot, characters, and language from an existing piece of literature.

1.D.1. Visual Arts: The student will understand the following components of visual arts: elements, including color, line, shape, form, texture, and space; principles, such as repetition, contrast, or balance; and vocabulary.

1.D.2. Visual Arts: The student will understand the cultural and historical forms or traditions of visual arts.

1.D.3. Visual Arts: The student will understand how visual arts elements are similar to and different from the elements of other arts areas, such as dance, music, or theater.

1.D.4. Visual Arts: The student will use elements, principles, skills, and techniques of at least three different mediums.

1.D.5. Visual Arts: The student will create original works of art to express specific artistic ideas.
