Accounts Payable Clerk

( This is not a remote position; relocation or commute required )

Job Requirements:

  • Processes multiple types of vendor invoices into system and confirms proper recording into respective general ledger accounts.
  • Completes regularly scheduled check runs and ensures vendor invoices are paid timely.
  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances at month-end and year-end.
  • Onboards new vendors as needed, including system setup and obtaining proper documentation.
  • Reconciles monthly purchasing card activities with vendor invoices.
  • Ensures timely payments of various taxes. Ensures sufficient bank balance for upcoming tax payments.
  • Validates and reconciles freight invoices.
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Disburses petty cash and verifies documentation. Completes petty cash related bank deposits as needed.
  • Prepares and issues 1099 forms for qualifying vendors at year end.
  • Prepares reconciliations and documentation for year financial audit. Provides requested documents to auditors for fieldwork and testing.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus.
  • Previous accounts payable experience preferred.

Graphic Design Position

( This is not a remote position; relocation or commute required )

Our Marketing Department is looking for a Graphic Designer to create engaging and on-brand visual and text graphics for a variety of multi-media and print projects. This position uses desktop publishing and graphic design to create layouts and artwork to inspire and attract our target audience of educators and librarians while promoting products and services in the educational space. Projects include print advertisements, catalog layouts, brochures, flyers, posters, mailers, promotional displays, packaging, logos, web banners, social media collateral, and videos.

If you are highly creative and possess a strong ability to translate concepts into design—and can work collaboratively as part of a team—we’d like to meet you.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs.
  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic.
  • Work with marketing director and project managers to produce final design.
  • Test graphics across various media.
  • Amend designs after feedback.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
  • Communicate with printer.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven graphic designing and typesetting experience.
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations, graphic, and typesetting skills.
  • Familiarity with design software and other technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat).
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Prototype coding and data familiarity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
  • Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus.

Collection Development Librarian

( This is not a remote position; relocation or commute required )

Perma-Bound Books is seeking a Collection Development Librarian. This positions involves but is not limited to:

  • Act as a reliable library resource for customers, Perma-Bound Sales Reps, and Peers with questions regarding Library Collections.
  • Develop & Maintain basic, balanced opening day collections for Elementary, Middle, & High School Levels for our website. There are four cumulative collections for each level to address four different budgets.
  • Work directly with customers and Perma-Bound Sales Reps to build custom Library & Classroom collections.
  • Manage Collections Work Queue program (CVD)
  • Build various types of collections: Balanced Opening Day Collections, CAP Collections, Leveled Collections, Genre Collections, Subject Collections, Specialized Collections, Etc.
  • Interface with Peers to collaborate resources and manage time sensitive marketing projects that require our assistance in building collections. (Catalogs, Brochures, Web Facing Materials)
  • Stay current with trends in Libraries and Curriculum through approved Webinars and Conferences, and online training.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • MLS Certification
  • Teaching Certificate with experience in Library Services
  • Professional Organization Memberships preferred
  • Peer Organizations related to Library Services preferred

Library Services - Title Acquisition Specialist

Perma-Bound Books is seeking a Title Acquisition Specialist. This positions involves but is not limited to:

  • Act as a reliable Title Data source for customers, Perma-Bound Sales Reps, and Peers with questions regarding Educational Titles.
  • Maintain Shared PI2 doc with current publisher information.
  • Communicate with Educational Publishers for Metadata.
  • Format Metadata for ads, changes, price updates. Spot check data after added for Accuracy on web.
  • Perform publisher check bi-annually (PCE) Check prices, Compare prices, Price Calcs, Discounts. Evaluate for updates/corrections.
  • Work directly with Customers, Sales Reps, & Peers to build various types of collections: Balanced Opening Day Collections, CAP Collections, Leveled Collections, Genre Collections, Subject Collections, Specialized Collections, Etc.
  • Interface with Peers to collaborate resources and manage time sensitive marketing projects that require our assistance in building collections. (Catalogs, Brochures, Web Facing Materials)
