ALA Booklist
The perennially good anthology series Flight returns with 15 new graphic stories, many of them wordless. Several stories expertly illustrate this volume's overarching themes of fear and loss: the hilarious story of a ninja's search for work, by JP Ahonen; a young man facing possible death in an Old West shootout, by Rodolphe Guenoden; and two birds who sacrifice everything to build a nest, by Andrea Offermann. As with any anthology, the quality wavers, but this entry does a better job than some of the earlier volumes of holding together thematically, and the series' reputation for outstanding art and lush colors continues to stand unblemished.
