Author, comedian, script writer, actor, and director Jorma Christopher Taccone was born in Berkeley, California and grew up immersed in theater and surrounded by writers. His mother is a writer and designer of children’s books, cards, and games, and his father served as artistic director of Berkeley Repertory Theater.

Jorma graduated from Berkeley High School, then earned a BA in Theater from the University of California, Los Angeles’ School of Theater, Film, and Television. He co-founded the hit sketch comedy trio The Lonely Island, creating over 100 SNL Digital Shorts for the popular NBC TV series Saturday Night Live. He has directed and produced movies; acted in starring roles; made cameo appearances; and played voice roles in The Lego Movies, Storks, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Jorma has won a Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award, a Peabody Award, and several WGA Awards for Best Comedy/Variety.

As a father, Jorma has discovered the importance of “learning to be patient, learning to get into the rhythm and speed that a child thinks at, and is processing at. And that goes with the emotions, really intense heavy emotions they’re feeling.” He believes the unconditional love you give your child comes back to you.

Jorma is married to his college sweetheart, Marielle, and the couple live adventurously with their son, Wylie, the inspiration for the imaginative, kind, and full-of-life book, Little Fox and the Wild Imagination.
