Help Page for Printing
Perma-Bound.com provides a quick, convenient printing process for all your lists, orders, and quotes. Choose from among an array of print options for maximum flexibility.
Print Preparations
Lists
There are two easy methods to begin printing your custom lists, both of which will take you to the “Print Options” page:
- Print from the My Account page. Select one of your lists within the Lists, Orders, Quotes area, and then click on the “Print” button.
- Print from a list page. Click on the “Print” link in the blue bar, which can be found near both the top and bottom of every list page.
Orders and Quotes
You always have the option to print orders and quotes prior to submitting them.
- Select a list and click on the “Order Online” or
“Submit as Quote” buttons from the My Account page.

From a list page, click on “Proceed to Checkout” (for an order) or “Submit as Quote”. - Make your selections on the Order Information/Checkout or Quote Information pages (for more information, refer to the Orders and Quotes area of the Help Center).
- The Confirmation Page will include a “Print as Order” or “Print as Quote” button. Click on this button to proceed to the Print Options page.
NOTE: You can choose to print an order or quote without officially submitting it, affording you the opportunity to produce hard copies of potential orders or quotes for other colleagues or supervisors.
Print Options
Select from among Perma-Bound.com’s print options by clicking on the appropriate button. When you are finished, click on the “Print” button at the bottom to proceed.
Choose a printing format:
- Standard - The default setting, includes Quantity, Catalog number, Title, Copyright Date, Pricing, Reading Level, Interest Level, Author, and Dewey code.
- Extended - Includes the Standard criteria plus Publisher, ISBN, and Lexile number.
Sort Titles By:
- Title - alphabetically (default setting)
- As Keyed - in order of items added (from first to last)
- Author
- Binding
- Copyright Date
- Dewey/Author
- Dewey/Title
- Interest Level
- Language
- Lexile
- PB Catalog Number
- Price
- Publisher
- Reading Counts!
- Quantity
- Reading Level
NOTE: Items not included within a particular sorting criterion, such as Teacher’s Guides and sets when sorting by Dewey or Reading Level, will be displayed first on the Print screen.
Print Reading Program Information:
Selecting “yes” will display the reading levels and point values of titles included with the Accelerated Reader and Reading Counts! programs.
Print Annotations:
Selecting “yes” will display the annotation (from the Title Detail page) for each item.
NOTE: The additional information included
will increase the page count of your printout.
Print Address:
Select an address from the drop-down box. These are your billing and
shipping addresses. The address you choose will appear at the top of
your printout.
Print Processing Preferences (when printing a list):
Selecting “yes” will give you the option to input your processing preference profile and price of that preference (if “On file with Perma-Bound” is selected).
AR Custom Title Set Preferences: Only applicable if your order includes Accelerated Reader Program quizzes.
- *School Address - Choose from among the addresses in your User Profile.
- *Platform - Choose either “PC (Windows)” or “Mac” computer platform.
- Delivery Method - Choose “Ground” to
have your AR disks shipped to you for a nominal fee. Choose
“Download” to receive a downloading code (this option
requires no disks and is free).
- How to Change the Email Address for the AR Quiz Download Delivery Method:
- Return to your “My Account” page.
- Click on the “User Information” link located in the tan column on the left-hand side.
- Then select the “User Profile” link below that.
- This will take you to your Customer Information section.
- Click on the “Update” button located at the bottom of the top “Customer Information” window.
- Then scroll to the bottom of the Update User Information screen.
- Enter the new email address in the first “* Email Address” field.
- Once completed, click “Update” and return to the “My Account” page.
- You may return to the list you wish to print and the new email address will now be automatically filled in for you..
- Media Type - If you have chosen “Ground” as your delivery method, select whether you want your Quizzes on CD-Rom or diskette.
Print Screen
After selecting your print options, you will be taken to a Print Screen that displays your results.
- If you have printed a list - the screen will display, in order: List Name, List Number, List Totals, Special Messages, and Individual Product Listings.
- If you have printed an order or quote - the screen will display, in order: Order/Quote Name, Order/Quote Number, Billing and Shipping Addresses, Order/Quote Information, Order/Quote Totals, Special Messages, Individual Product Listings, and Processing Preferences (if selected).
- To print - Click on “Print as PDF” at the top of the screen or, scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on “Print as PDF” to print the list/order/quote as a PDF file. If you wish to print the list/order/quote in the normal fashion, you can do so utilizing the browser’s print function, or by holding down the “Ctrl” button and pushing the “P” key. If you decide not to print the list just click on the “Back” to return to the Print Options page.
NOTE: Print Screens will further categorize products by priority, beginning with High and ending with Subs.
Print Processing Preferences
If you have created and selected a processing preference profile (your choices regarding the format and content of card kits, circulations kits, labels, and barcodes), it will be included at the bottom of your order and quote printout. You can also print processing preferences independent of your lists from the User Profile page.
- Click on “User Profile” in the User Information area of the My Account page.
- In the Processing Preferences area, select a preference and click on the “Print” button. You will be taken to a Processing Preferences Print screen.
- Scroll down Scroll down and click on “Print” to open your web browser’s print menu. When you are finished, click on “Back” to return to the User Profile page.

My print screen has too much/not enough information - how do I change it?
Take a look at the Print Options page. You can try different printing options and easily move back in forth between this page and the Print Screen by clicking on the “Back” link at the bottom of the page (or by using you browser’s “Back” button). Once you are satisfied, click on “Print”, also at the bottom, to open your browser’s print menu.
I sorted by Dewy/Reading Level/Interest Level and my print screen begins with items that have no entries for these criteria - why?
When sorting items by a numerical criterion, Perma-Bound.com will display those items that have no value first. For a Dewey, Reading Level, or Interest Level sort, this includes items such as Teacher’s Guides, Perma-Guides, and other support materials, as well as some product sets, and audio-visual titles.
I was printing an order/quote and noticed my billing/shipping address was incorrect - how do I change this?
You can add or edit address information from the Order/Quote Information page or your User Profile. Simply navigate back to one of these two pages and make any needed changes.
Do you have an order form I can print?
You can use a printout of any list, order, or quote as and order form for fax or conventional mail. Order forms are also included in the pdf versions of most of our other product materials, such as Perma-Picks or the ALA Awards Brochure, which can be found on the Perma-Bound.com homepage.
Can I send my printed list to my district office for approval or purchase order addition, and then have them fax or mail it to you as an order?
Yes, certainly. We will always work with you to ensure satisfaction. If you don’t want to or are unable to place orders online, you can always print a list, order, or quote and mail or fax it to us instead.
How do I print one of my processing preferences separately?
- Click on “User Profile” in the User Information page.
- In the Processing Preferences area, select a preference and click on the “Print” button. You will be taken to a Processing Preferences Print screen.
- Scroll down Scroll down and click on “Print” to open your web browser’s print menu. When you are finished, click on “Back” to return to the User Profile page.
